We have removed the bathroom door to allow access to a wheelchair but the lifting required is not sustainable long-term. Our plan is to provide a wetroom and lift to mitigate this. Richard came home on February 28th, nearly 8 months after the accident. Life at home is a significant challenge due to a tiny, impractical bathroom and high steps at every entry but he is determined to increase his abilities and strength. We need a wetroom and through-floor lift to prevent shoulder deterioration and skin damage from lifting in and out of a bath and on and off a stairlift.
