Story
Hi Everyone as most of you know my uncle David (Richie) had a major stroke last year which has left him paralyzed down one side of his body and damaged the part of the brain responsible for speech.
if you know him them i wont need to tell you about the positive outlook he has for life and the many good and selfless things he used to do for others. id imagine there are a few people who's kayaking and skiing skills are attributed to his teachings.
he is now at the point of living semi independently and getting back into a routine of seeing friends and family. he is after a scooter to get around and about locally as his legs simply wont support him going further than the car park in his home. though we are hopeful his legs will fully heal for now he may well need extra assistance at least for the next few years.
there have been a number of requests to start up a just giving page so here it is. any money raised here will be put directly towards the purchase of an electric scooter for my uncle and then we will release him into the wild again to roam free

This is my father's Day donation to my dad's mate Richie, who was always there for me when I was left stranded by my "father" on the ski mountain, and rescued me with the best hot chocolates!

Good luck. If it's good enough for Consett Festival it's good enough for me.
