Story
Our eldest daughter was diagnosed with a genetic condition at the age of one. Our lives changed and as a family we found ourselves lost and helpless because we didn‘t know how to help our daughter. We were signposted to an amazing charity called Small Steps that provides specialist support for babies and young children who have a physical disability. This is when everything began to change for us. They gave us the tools to help our daughter in a meaningful way through the in person sessions we attended. And they did all of this completely free of charge
Charities that can intervene and support families with children with disabilities and additional needs are so crucial.
Which is why when we were introduced to the Sunshine Foundation 2 years ago we were so drawn to the work that they do to support children and their families on the Carribean island of Grenada. They organise fundraising activities for a number of projects and resources for a school on the island that educates 50 children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
The work that these charities do is vital and with your help and generosity we want to support them to be able to continue.
