Story
Doug Eke and I are raising money to develop the nature reserve and an outdoor learning area at our childrens' school. We are going to cycle a 100 mile circuit on 16th October, one mile for each pupil in the school, with the route passing 18 Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust sites.
Investing in our field and nature reserve would allow pupils to work outside across a range of curriculum areas and maximise opportunities to develop their confidence, practical skills, social interactions and teamwork. There is a wealth of evidence proclaiming the benefits of working in natural, green environments, including increased exercise, better health, improved social interaction and refocus. Working outside can successfully remove barriers to learning and address the balance, providing an inspirational workspace for all children.
