Story
KCRFC is the only ruby union club in Brent. Rugby generally not available in Brent schools. Club originally formed to help Brent kids engage more with sport and rich legacy of schools outreach continues and deliberate policy of charging very low fees to attract wide base. Club has grown since formed 21 years ago and is generally known to punch above its weight given its modest resources, eg men's A team now plays in (lowest of!) national leagues.
Brent Skylight Crisis is located in Harlesden one of the most deprived areas of London. The proportion of vulnerable single people is very high and Crisis does a terrific job helping these people and working with the Council and others to both avert the problem and provide better facilities for when it does arise.
