Virtual 5K Keepin’it Renal walk/run for Ricky Casey. Raising awareness for RMC ( Renal medullary carcinoma)

For the first time ever the UK join forces with sugar land Texas US for their Annual walk/Run

Anybody can join the fun across the world and spread awareness, Walk /Run.

Wear something orange, take lots of pictures and send them to ....,

Nicola Casey, Ricky’s wife together with Ricky Casey warriors go global together with the US to increase awareness and educate people on this rare kidney cancer. Some will walk or Run virtually to spread awareness. Kids, dogs the more the merrier.

It’s just over a year since Nicola lost Ricky to this horrendous disease and together with help we can hopefully make a difference. Ricky was a local Firefighter and a well loved member of our community.

70% of patients will be advanced by the time of diagnosis and RMC is almost exclusive to people with the sickle cell trait, with the average survival of 12 months. This Cancer is very aggressive , difficult to treat and as no priority on age from young children to young adults .

All donations will go to the Ricky Casey trust but unfortunately due to covid 19 this is on hold, but will be donated to Kidney cancer units for rare and other kidney cancers .

**Please note, this event is more to raise awareness and for us to come together with the USA. If we raise funds along the way then that will be a bonus!
