On the 2nd of December, will be riding from our head offices based on the NG2 business park. We will ride from our office to Birmingham’s children’s hospital in fancy dress to raise as much money as possible for Jesse. Below is Jesse’s story and the reason we are doing this.

Dave Mansfield is a valued friend to us at Varciti and at the moment he and his sons mum are going through hell due to the fact that their beautiful 10-year-old son Jesse is fighting Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and has been since August 2022.

Unfortunately, Jesse has a rare gene arrangement (FLT3) that affects less than 10% with AML. The prognosis for these specific gene mutations is very poor – so getting the right treatment is much more difficult and expensive and not available on the NHS. It could potentially cost in excess of £250,00-£500,00 – hence Dave has set up a crowd funding page. If for whatever reason the money isn’t needed, then any donations will then be sent to fund research into childhood cancers.
