Story
#RideforAaron
As you will have heard, our friend and colleague Aaron has had some devastating news. After a few health issues he went to the doctors has had the news everyone dreads-Cancer.
We as a team want to help him during these dark times by raising as much as possible to help with Mortgage, Council tax and other costs while his treatment is ongoing.
The plan was the brain child of Mark Lloyd who came up with an idea to ride Coast to Coast of the UK-riding the Trans Pennine Trail from Southport to Hornsea (You can see the Westermost Rough Windfarm where Aaron works from the finish line).
The Idea grew and grew and we now have nearly 50 riders wanting to help out "our boy". We have a confirmed date of 31st March to 2nd April 2017. We are looking to get media coverage and already have support from the local Cycle Superstore JC Cook Cycles.
Proceeds will go to Aaron and Dove House Hospice.

7 years agoSo that's it!! All done! Southport to Hornsea, 3 days, 210 miles. What can I say!! Everyone involved gave 150% and really showed the team spirit. I'm so proud to have been part of the team and as it stands we have raised £9235 and there is still the sponsor money to be logged. I'm staggered at the reception the riders got arriving in Hornsea, public and family cheering alike!! Huge thanks to Mark Lloyd for ever coming up with this crazy idea, Martyn Charles, Clare McVeigh and Matt Thompson for organising and executing it all. Much respect.😃

7 years agoWe are now at £3,460 confirmed riders and 3 Support vans. We will all set off on Thursday to be ready for the start in Stockport on Friday 31st March. We can't believe the support we have had so far but we have a way to go to reach (and hopefully smash) the £10,000 target, if you haven't already, can you share and ask your friends & family to contribute anything they can please, it's for two great causes!

Better late than never, this is my sponsorship from friends and family. Still seems daft going for a 210 mile bike ride. Well done again everyone
