Story
For those of you that are parents, the pain and anxiety caused when your little ones get sick is all encompassing. For Jess and Kully Virdee, sadly this is a relentless, daily occurrence. In December 2016, their son Reuben was diagnosed with a stage 4 Neuroblastoma (a rare form of childhood cancer). Since then this extremely brave 3-year old has undergone countless procedures, major operations and extremely aggressive chemotherapy. The treatment he is currently receiving aims to remove the cancer from his body and get him into remission. Unfortunately, with Neuroblastoma it is very common that this cancer returns and this results in treatment becoming very difficult. This is where we come in. There is an innovative treatment in America that significantly reduces the chance of the cancer coming back once in remission. To make this treatment possible we need to raise £250,000.
Steve Mullan, Steve Rycroft, Grant Eaton, Wouter De Jager, Alex Shaw and Khory Blackstock are all dads, willing to don tight-fitting lycra 'partly' in the name of charity. This fine group of daddy athletes are preparing to cycle 300 miles over 3 days starting on 23rd June 2017. The route will take them from the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford to the end of the land, Lands End.
Please donate what you can to make the numb bums worthwhile!!
