I've raised £5000 to Raise money for GOSH Charity and the Sick Children’s Trust. Ride for Tavie: 500km in 5 days

Welcome to Tavie’s Fundraising Page
Supporting Ride for Tavie, a 500km bike ride in 5 Days
On 22nd March, 2024 our daughter Octavia “Tavie” nearly died from Strep A Sepsis. After a horrific and scary few weeks, she is now in recovery, but will continue her life with disability after amputation of her right lower limb. We wanted to share our story and raise awareness and support for the charities who have supported us and the causes which are now very close to our hearts.
The care by Great Ormond Street Hospital in London has been absolutely unbelievable. Without their efforts we would have lost our little girl. We have had to lean on any help offered to us, including from the Sick Children’s Trust. They are a charity who give families a place to stay, minutes from their child’s bedside. It meant we could remain alongside our daughter as she fought this battle.
To celebrate her recovery, we are hosting a charity bike ride from 26-30th July, 2024. Cyclists will take on 500km in 5 days between Norfolk and Cardiff- via GOSH. Cyclist and non-cyclists are all welcome to come and be involved or support at key points along the route. Please refer to Ride for Tavie website for more information on how to be involved.
All donations will go to GOSH Charity and the Sick Children’s Trust.
Our aim is to raise awareness of Group A Strep sepsis; and being a child with a visible difference. Click here for more information.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
