Paddy and other Ride The BoS cyclists would like to raise money to buy Adaptive Bikes for the students at Springhead School in Scarborough.

Springhead School is an all-age specialist school for cognition and learning – it is a community special school based in Scarborough. They admit pupils aged 2 – 19yrs with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities, which include moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties and disabilities which may also include autistic spectrum condition, physical or sensory needs and social / emotional and mental health needs.

Although our target is £1,000, we would love to raise the funds for a particular bike that will be specifically adapted for wheelchair users so they too can enjoy and take part in the cycling experience.

The bike has been specially modified to carry a wheelchair. The cost of the bike is £4,400.00 (ex. VAT) + £1500 for the electric assist.
