I've raised £900 to help raise awareness for young people with mental health and womens football

Who are we?
This JustGiving page is being set up by the University of Portsmouth Women's Football Club. Throughout recent years, as a society, we have grown exceptionally and are currently responsible for over 40 female football players. Despite being one of the smaller societies within the Athletic Union, our first team currently represent the university as the highest ranked team between both men and women.
What are we doing?
7 members of our club will be cycling over 160 miles with our journey beginning at Portsmouth FC and ending in Oxford, via London. We have mapped out stadiums home to 7 Super League women's football clubs which will be our pit stops along the journey. At each stadium, we will be posting pictures of our team on our social media with the hashtag “#RideToChangeMinds” to spread awareness for women’s football, whilst raising money for Young Minds UK.
Who are we doing it for?
As well as looking to raise funds to support the growth of our club in the coming season 50% of the money raised will be going to a charity close to our hearts, Young Minds UK. Young Minds is the UK's leading charity championing the wellbeing and mental health of young people. Only 16% of people with mental health issues take part in sport or physical activity on a regular basis. Despite studies showing that higher levels of sport participation are linked to lower levels of depression and anxiety.
Please give what you can.
