    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    This is our story…

Mrs Patel (Teaching Assistant) has chosen to embark on a physically demanding personal challenge to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with her husband over the Christmas period. As part of the challenge, Mrs Patel has expressed a desire to raise money for the school.

All pupils are taking part in a ‘Ridgeway Hike’ in January where we will be walking as a class around the entire school field, including the hill (Mount Kilimanjaro), for a period of 30 minutes. Following this, we will calculate how far the children have walked so that we can compare to Mrs Patels’ challenge! In order to make a link as much as possible we are asking that pupils come prepared dressed in warm clothing, waterproof shoes and a rucksack.

We are proud of the strong family atmosphere we have at Ridgeway. Our children’s families are regarded as an essential part of our learning community and we aim to create opportunities for them to become as involved as possible in their child’s learning journey.

Our school provides a friendly, nurturing environment in which all our children can achieve their very best, feel happy and confident. Our high expectations ensure we provide a stimulating, relevant and vibrant learning environment in which we aim to develop positive attitudes for life in all of our children. We make sure each individual child feels valued and secure. We promote and inspire high aspirations for our children’s future and our curriculum prioritises enquiry and investigation both indoors and outdoors. We talk to children about engaging fully in each learning journey, taking pride in working hard and celebrating when reaching our goals.

Our six School Values focus on teamwork, creativity, resilience, communication, independence and reflectiveness. We hope to develop transferable learning power so that our children can aspire and rise to challenges both now and in their future.
