Story
I'm planning to join a Habitat for Humanity project to renovate homes for 2 weeks in a slum in Rio de Janeiro (otherwise known as favelas).
£3,000 (about $4,500) is the average cost of a home in the developing world and can also be used to rehabilitate several homes instead - I'll leave it to the local experts to decide how to best use the money.
100% of the money goes to helping those who need it the most - because I will be paying for my own plane ticket and accommodation, since I have family in Rio.
