Story

Boaz, our Speech and Language Therapist, supports a school in Zimbabwe called Southview. Southview provides early pre-school education to 100 children aged 12 months to 5 years.

We would like to raise funds to increase the capacity and the extend the school so that more children may benefit from attending this school and have access to learning. The aim is to raise funds to refurbish an existing room and construct a 2 room annexe to create a junior school, initially to welcome children up to 7 years of age and ultimately up to age of 11 years. Also a minibus is needed to transport the children to and from school.

We are raising funds by walking 54 laps of the school field, one lap for every county in Africa. The total laps will equate to approximately 27 miles. This is a whole school event, with all pupils and staff attempting the challenge. The challenge will run from the 23rd May 2021 until 20th July.

Ripplevale School is an independent day special school for boys aged 6 to 18 who have an EHCP (Educational Health Care Plan) with a diagnosis of ASD, often with associated conditions.

Our school is located in the village of Ripple near Deal in Kent.
