I've raised £2000 to Run virtually from Lands End to John o'Groats 837 miles

As grassroots football is now cancelled for the next few weeks Rising Hope Vets football team have decided to raise money for very a good cause and one very close to our hearts rather than sit back and wait for the season to resume. As a team we are planning to virtually run from John o'Groats to Lands End which is a massive 837 miles during lock down. This is a great reason to keep fit during lock down and raise some much needed money at this stuggling time.
We are donating to 2 causes Mind in Corby and Johnny's Happy Place.
Johnny's Happy Place is a non profit ,voluntary mental health charity in Kettering that do outstanding work with people suffering with mental health. Mind’s vision is to improve overall mental health, creating a ‘responsible system’ for mental health awareness.
Corby Mind provided over 2000 individual opportunities for mental health support during 2018. This was done by offering support and services tailored to the needs of the Corby community and surrounding villages.
We very sadly lost one our team mates Nick Taylor recently due to mental health and in the tragedy has brought the football team and club a lot closer together realising just how important and precious life is and the importance of checking in on people and noticing changes in behaviour.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, we understand people are finding it hard with money at the moment but literally every £1 will make a huge difference.
