Story
On the 10th of July we are taking on the gruelling challenge of canoeing the longest river in Britain the River Severn which is 220 miles long. We estimate to complete this challenge in 5 days carrying minimal food supplies and camping gear.
The River Severn starts in Plynlimon in the Welsh mountains and travels south east passing through Shrewsbury, Worcester, Gloucester and ends in Bristol where it meets the Bristol Channel. The River Severn has the second highest rise and fall of tide in the world which makes it extremely dangerous waters.
We are taking on this challenge in memory of Lynne Kimberley and Cynthia Chappell. All equipment has been paid for by ourselves and all donations will go directly to the Shine Bright Foundation and the Dementia UK charity.
The people taking part in this challenge are as follows...
Joe Kimberley
Shane Street
Stuart Brookes-smith
Adam Sherratt
Daniel Jones
If anybody could spare a donation, as little as it may be, to these fantastic charities we would really appreciate it. They work hard helping to save and improve the quality of lives of people, day in and day out.
Thank you for your support.
