I’m sending you this email to aid a needy cousin and close friend, Bahaudin, who needs kidney transplant surgery in Mumbai India. I came to know about his plight through my spiritual leader and father-in-law many years ago.

He is currently 34 but in childhood both his kidneys failed. Since that moment he has been living off one of his mother’s kidneys. This donated kidney had also failed 3 years ago and he is now on dialysis twice a week. He spends an arduous two hours travelling to hospital by local transport and 2 hours back.
Every year, I normally support various charities via the UK charities fundraising campaigns but this is something ‘personal’ and I want to assist him by making this a personal campaign.

The reason for raising the profile now (you might ask) is that Bahaudins waiting list entry has risen in status to a category such that if he gets a call from his Hospital with an available kidney he needs to make a downpayment to initiate the surgery. The call could be anytime.

His father died some years ago and his mother is dedicated to his care. He is largely reliant upon charitable financial care and I feel this compassionate society is one that can care.
Starting from zero I want to raise whatever is possible but the downpayment is about £8,000. Don’t forget the aftercare and anti-rejection drugs.
