Story

After The death of my son Mathew Smyth last year, and his best friend Paul Wood in May this year, both on their motorcycles and both to Hit and Run drivers, We their family and friends decided it's now time the government changed the sentencing and the guidelines that go with Death by dangerous/careless and hit and run.Hit and Run only carries a 6 month sentence! In 2017 the government had promised this would be looked into and changed. Yet 2 years and many road deaths later, this has still yet to be looked into. We are also hoping to raise Road Safety Awareness, within our community and surrounding communities. Our first successful Road Safety Awareness Family Fun Day completed and a massive success Sunday 18th August 2019, this event will now be a yearly event. Cost's to put something like this on weren't cheap, and we only had 4 weeks to plan the 1st event. So next years we have far more time and require more funds to keep this going in hope we can help future victims get the justice they deserve, plus by raising awareness cut down the amount of road deaths, certainly force those to not flee the scene. November 16th just 2 days ahead of Road Safety Awareness Week, we are Rallying on Parliament Square, we hope to see many of you there.

Many Thanks for your donation whether is be small or large, every penny will help us help others.

Louise Smyth, Helen Wood Gray & our Amazing Team, plus our wonderful sponsors The Courier Company Nationwide
