I'm raising £1000 to Support The Bluebell Circle’s Phase 2 Works by running 10 10k’s in 10 months

Story

As Sofia’s dad, I am aiming to run 10 10k’s in the next 10 months to raise funds for The Bluebell Circle’s Phase 2 works - enhancing the tyre-swing area around Sofia’s Memorial Throne in Halling which we unveiled on 7th June 2026.

Our first Bluebell Circle Parkrun on 4th October 2025 really kickstarted my journey to improving my physical fitness as well as focussing on my own mental health following Sofia’s death. I have found that regular exercise has allowed me to funnel my stresses and grief into something more positive for myself and my family.

I can’t say that I fully enjoy running yet but Sofia’s spirit and determination throughout her illness is the driver behind every step I take and the desire to push myself harder by undertaking longer runs. As such, I would like to push myself beyond the weekend Parkruns and set a target to run at least 10 10k’s before Summer-27.

I completed my first ever 10k in the Larkfield 10k on 20/09/26 with a chip time of 59:11. My next run was on 10/10/26 in the Kent Downs Ultra Challenge Maidstone which was extremely difficult terrain but managed to achieve 3rd place overall with a time of 1:06:51.

My next three runs will be on 01/11/26 in the Ebbsfleet Garden City 10k followed by the Coastbuster Ramsgate 10k on 15/11/26 and then the Pacific Ashford 10k on 29/11/26.

If anyone would like to join me in any of these runs, then I’m happy for you to reach out to me.

Sofia Le Brunn-Healey was a beautiful, brave, and magical 7-year-old who was deeply loved by us and cherished by everyone who knew her. Tragically, Sofia passed away on 31st March 2025 after a courageous one and a half year battle with cancer.

Sofia adored living in Halling. She especially loved the river and playing with her friends at the tyre-swing — a place filled with laughter, imagination, and joy. In her memory, we would like to create a special, interactive space around the tyre swing that all children in the village can enjoy — a place full of the spirit and magic Sofia brought to the world.

Your support and donations will help us achieve this ambition.
