“Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens.”― Maria von Trapp

This has been a crazy year for us all and with Christmas only weeks away, I thought that it would be a great idea to record a Christmas song. Why, I’m not sure. But I guess I will have to blame my brother. After my Mum and Dad sadly passed away and with having to deal with the admin of probate etc. This year for me has had many lows. But out the blue a parcel was delivered and to my surprise, inside the large box was this….. A Brian May guitar. It was my brother’s way of saying thank you for all that I had done over the last 2 years (caring for Dad then Mum).

With a background as a (retired) wannabe drummer, limited guitar skills and with the aim to sound like Brian May, I started with a few Queen sound-a-like guitar riffs, which then developed into a festive tune. However, sadly lacking any vocal skills, I reached out and with some help from the online music community, this Christmas 'rock' song was born.

Now the song is completed the idea of raising some money for a local charity popped into my head. Playing it to friends, family and Rand Associates colleagues and friends, no-one said it was XXXX so why not use it to help bring a smile to some faces with the “magic of music”.

If you like my Song please donate as every penny will help.

Many Thanks
