I'm raising £750

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Apologies for this on a Sunday night. I hope you are all well and had a great weekend.

I have something to share, and I’m looking for your support on a very sad topic.

To give you some context: every year, I get really sad and upset thinking about those around me, especially children, who don’t have anything at Christmas time. They believe in Father Christmas/Santa, and on Christmas day, they wonder where they went wrong. I also think about the parents who feel that pressure and sadness. Sometimes it's not even the parents. There are so many kids in our care system in Scotland—it is frightening. Sometimes it’s the older brother or sister raising these kids, or they are living in care.

The reason this has sparked is that I was at work on Friday, and the company I currently work for is helping a charity with a 'Gift Tree.' As I was reading what the child I was assigned would like for Christmas, it said "Boy, aged 6, loves Xbox and Roblox." One of my colleagues had a young girl, 7 years old, who loves Primark and would like some new clothes.

This broke my heart, and my mind took me back to being that age, believing in Santa and being so excited every year for Santa coming to bring toys or Xbox games for my younger brother and me. It made me think of my parents, who didn’t have a lot to give but always made sure I was always happy on Christmas Day. I am forever grateful for that, but I have decided this year I want to do my best to give back and help someone.

When I looked at my tag, I thought, helping just one child simply isn’t enough. I want to help more using this platform, which I’ve never really used to help others.

The reason for this post is that so many kids live in poverty in Scotland. They may never have those Christmases with a full family around them or even something to open from Santa.

I don’t have a lot of money myself, but what I can give is my time. I believe no child on earth should be starved of creativity. If you know someone with a young child who is interested in DJ’ing or getting into music, I want to help.

This will be completely confidential. Please feel no shame in getting in touch if your son or daughter would like DJ’ing lessons or if you are trying to organise an event and need a DJ. I would love to help them spend time and learn how to DJ. This might spark creativity, and they might love it. If I could make a difference in a child's life and give them something to work towards, that would be amazing.

I could also create some gift vouchers so that if you are a parent/guardian struggling to find a gift, I will make the biggest deal about it possible so your child feels special and that it all came from you, They can spend some time with me and learn the fundamentals of DJing. The sadness and stress around Christmas for some families really gets to me so this is the best idea I have come up with to help.

I have started a Just Giving page, which I will put in the comment section. I will do an extended live stream on my Twitch and TikTok accounts for the occasion on the 30th of November this will allow me enough time to withdraw from Just giving and distribute the money. I don’t care if I end up with 1 or 10,000 viewers on the day this happens—I just want to change some Christmases out there. If anyone else has other suggestions on where I could help, please let me know.

I have 4200 followers on this page. If each of you could spare just £1 to this cause—which I will split between three local charities—it would be an incredible amount of money to help change the lives of young children and give them a Christmas that might just change how they feel, even if just for one day.

Thank you for taking a moment to read this and for your very hopeful support on this cause.

I am encouraging local businesses or fellow creative people to get involved, and I am hoping we can really create something beautiful here.

The three charities I have chosen to support are The Star Project in Paisley, Cash for kids Glasgow & the west of Scotland & Parent Network Scotland.

I will set a date for my extended Christmas livestream, and I just hope together we can help a family or child have a great day.

All I ask is please do your bit and interact & share with this post so it will reach far and wide and lets make a difference.

If you are a DJ and want to get involved in this let me know and we can get you onboard!
