Story

Meet Robbo Johnson

Dear family, friends and acquaintances,

The last few months I have developed a friendship with one Robbo Johnson, a very special man whom i am very fond of. He has an incredible story to tell.
Robbo is 60 years of age and has done things other people could only dream of. It has been my privilege to spend the last few months under the same roof with him.

Robbo and I would like to ask everyone who is willing, to help this true hero. I will share with you the shortened version of Robbo's story:

Robbo grew up in the mountains of Snowdonia, Northern Wales and spent his teen years on the streets of Liverpool. In the 80’s he was part of protest marches. For instance the “right to work march” left Liverpool in 1981 with 50 people only to reach London with more than 180,000 members. He also protested the miner's strike and the big "Ford" car protest, of that time.

In the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s he worked with some of the biggest musicians of that era, included Bob Marley & The wailers, U2, Frankie goes to Hollywood and many others. He also helped organise concerts and festivals such asGlastonbury festival.

Robbo has crossed the sahara by foot, he has sailed the oceans of the world. He has also covered 300,000 km in 20 years on his bike, and been to every continent of the globe except south America.

In Africa he build wells, ecological houses, built up many free living communities, restored orphanages, and he also collected 50,000 bikes for “AfriBike”, for the children of Africa.
Robbo has met the Dalai Lama and the pope, and many diplomats from countries all over the world. Hehas been in the news and the media, because of his accomplishments. In the Netherlands because of his lessons and workshops he gave at elementary schools, where he shared his knowledge and vision, in such an incredible way - you could call him a true Celtic Shaman. With both feet on the ground, bonded with the laws of mother nature and not afraid to share this knowledge - he is always himself. He speak from his heart and inspires everyone to live truly.

The reason I am sharing this story with you is because Robbo wants to go home to the UK.
Robbo has now decided that because he is nearly sixty years of age and needs operations, he wishes to return to the UK.

To do this he needs a place to stay. In exchange for a roof over his head he will guarantee good hard work. He has experience in eco-farming, alternative housing and cob(clay) house building, woodworking, painting, plumbing, training and keeping horses, boat repair and so on and so forth. The list is endless.

He is a mentor, a teacher, a builder, an inventor, a coach for life and this because he himself has been a student of life.

He would be able to teach you how to live totally independently; an ecological and self sufficient life.

He is open to giving lectures, creating workshops and planning for all kinds of ecological house building projects - think eco toilets, plumbing, vegetable and fruit gardens, outdoor showers, etc.

Robbo is always willing to join you at the campfire or the dining table. He shares his knowledge and stories with you. He plays some music too or he would join you in deep philosophical conversation. Robbo speaks his mind and is a very loyal friend; he has a heart of gold and you cannot help but love him!

Robbo has been back in the EU for a number of years now, resident mainly in The Netherlands and Belgium. However, just recently he was lured away from where he has been staying, with the promiseof work and a place to put his caravan. Once he arrived in Belgium, he realisation that the person making the promises was less than honest. He had much of his property stolen including several wheels and his saddle was taken, rendering him immobile. So currently Robbo, is in Belgium, in a small village, with no prospect of work, little food and fighting to remain warm.

Robbo is in dire straights and in desperate need of help. We need to hire a van to bring him back home to his beloved Wales.

It's not a huge amount of money to raise but we hope by giving just a little, the amount may be reached. Please give generously!!!
