    Story

Hello there, so you're wondering what's so special about me?

I'm a independent writer, with three previously self-published novels. Two years ago I was made redundant, and it hit me quite hard. Not so much that I felt it financially, obviously I did, but more so emotionally. I suffer from AS (Ankylosing spondylitis) and Reactive arthritis, also known as Reiters.

The effects of these have resulted in me having to retire from work at age 49. Two years on and the disease is worse than ever. My writing has all but ceased. With the money raised here I aim to do the following.

I have a finished novel, a science fiction, dystopian, time travel story, the first of three planned. The book has sat on my computer for almost eighteen months untouched as I no longer have the funds to take it to completion.

My first two books were both science fiction comedies, a third instalment is yet to be written, and will ultimately finish that particular series.

The Monuments of Panda Johnson: Book One: Volume 1

Panda Johnson and the Death of the Gods: Book Two

I have since then published my first serious story, a horror story based in Cornwall, where I live.

Welcome To Quillem: The Slaughter Girls Book One:

So, all of that is in the past, so to speak. Why do I need the money?

I am no longer able to write ten thousand words a day. At times I'm lucky if I can manage fifty. It's not just the physical restrictions, the mental block. I now find it increasing hard to concentrate. The pain makes me increasingly tired. The mental side comes from a number of avenues, tiredness, depression, and lastly my Post-traumatic stress disorder PTSD .

It's time to get down to the nitty-gritty, of how the money will be used.

My aim is to raise £2000.00.

£600-800 will be used to edit Tok, the book I need to get published.

£100-150 will be used to purchase a professionally made cover for the book.

£250 will be used to purchase copies of the book and send them to a number of select companies for review. With the hope of getting the book media attention.

With the restrictions I have in typing I will use around £300-400 purchasing a speech to text program such as Dragon. The remainder of the funds will be towards other editing software for my future projects.

Once the book has been published I will be making a donation of 2.5% from the profits, to each of the following charities.

NASS The UK's charity for Ankylosing Spondylitis

BHF The British Heart Foundation. A charity close to me as my eldest daughter has a heart problem and they have been great supporters to us over the years.

I know this is a lot to take in, I do hope you can spare even a £1. Every little helps. :)
