I've raised £4000 to Helping Miles towards becoming an Explorer.

Miles was born with Cerebral Palsy and can only walk assisted or in wheelchair. Like any other lad of 13 he likes video games, sports and outdoor activities and also has heros he looks upto that he sees in the media, like Bear Grylls amongst others. Due to his condition, he obviously is limited, which obviously does lead to him spending more time on video games, even though he would love to do more. Some time ago Miles was told by an adult that he couldn't be an explorer, because of his condition. This was something that really disappointed me and I was saddened that someone would say this to him. Obviously he is limited, but I believe that he should have never been told that and I believe anything is possible. As his father, I thought about this situation for sometime and also wondered what he would do one day even career wise. As a Mountain/expedition leader, outdoor instructor, explorer myself it dawned on me that I do challenges every year for charity, only now my mission in life is to help Miles and children like him become explorers and show them they can be anything they want to be. So now I'm looking to you, my friends, family and followers to support Me & Miles on this following challenge. In July 2019 me and Miles are going to trek the GR11, a trail that runs the entire Pyrenees over 800km. The idea is we will aquire a Mule in the town of Irun, Western starting point and I will walk and lead Miles the entire distance. In the run up to our trek, Miles and myself will under go training with animals locally, with the help of his school and some local contacts so that we are prepared for the Journey. So now I look to you, parents, families, friends and all other supporters I have had in the past and ask you to rally again to support this course and help Miles to go for Miles and help an amazing lad become an explorer and give him a sense of pride, achievement and self worth.
