What is crowdfunding?

Story
Robert wants to attend the forthcoming YWAM International conference in Thailand, this September 2-9th 2018.
He wants be there, in order to network, and connect with other YWAM leaders.Robert says, "As i am a leader, its more than a conference but it is strategic planning which i want to be part of. Its also a corporate time of hearing from God as a mission. It will help me to apply in Uganda what God is teaching us internationally and the direction leading as a mission."
He needs to raise £1200 pounds ($1500 dollars) for the Airfare, registration, acommodation ,transport, upkeep etc.
