Story

I have volunteered for Club 2000 for the past 7 years. We have fundraising events and hold raffles but I wanted to do something meaningful for the Club I dedicate my time to, so I have signed up to do the Ironbridge half Marathon on March 25th 2018 which is not that far away but I always like a good challenge.

Club 2000 Sport and Leisure is a registered charity, totally independent of the Local Authority, and is run by a team of dedicated volunteers. Club 2000 has no external funding. We rely solely on membership fees, donations and the fund raising efforts of members, volunteers, local Lions, Rotary Clubs, Inner Wheel and local companies.

I am an active volunteer who likes to help out where needed to support member in various activities. We meet on a Thursday evening where there is lots going on and we are here to make sure members get the most out of club. The club organisations many day trips through out the year and also provide an annual holiday to a leisure resort in Norfolk which is very popular with members. I enjoy being part of a team of great volunteers who without none of this would be possible.

I would like to raise funds for Club for some new sports equipment and maybe a nice treat to go with a nice day out for the members.

If you would like to donate, or take part helping to raise funds please don’t hesitate to contact us. Alternative donate to the just giving website.

Thank you
