I've raised £1000 to Help fund clubhouse and facility improvements at Seaham Red Star FC to support teams of all ages under the club banner. (PLEASE READ STORY)

Following my two spinal operations this year, my eldest and I are hiking the West Highland Way and ascending Ben Nevis from 4-10th August aiming to raise funds to aid with the improvement of Seaham Red Star FC Clubhouse and facilities.
Due to the surgery my effort here is a bigger challenge than it first appears. A logistical nightmare, it requires I access electricity each day to recharge my spinal implant which aids with the never-ending pain I endure. Those of you who know me may know I've endured the repercussions of a broken back since 2004, unknowingly until 2014 but once the cause of my pain was found it was beyond repair so I'm stuck with it. I've therefore arranged accommodation at various stops along the way and have my sister supporting the two of us with pick up/drop off points at the end/start of each day, ending one day where I start the next, in order to properly complete the challenge.
My aim is to see us into Fort William on Thursday 9th August and then ascend Ben Nevis as the crescendo on the Friday.
My itinerary as planned:
04/08 Milngavie - Drymen
05/08 Drymen - Rowardennan
Ben Lomond circular
06/08 Rowardennan - Crianlarich/Tyndrum
07/08 Crianlarich/Tyndrum - Black Rock Cottage
08/08 Black Rock Cottage -
Kinlochleven
09/08 Kinlochleven - Fort William
10/08 Ben Nevis
In short, if I can endure a big challenge like this in support of our club, can you find a little to give in support of a local club trying to expand its horizons ?
All donations go direct from here to the club account.
If you donate let me know via text or FB messenger and I'll add you to the private FB group I set up for the event photos and updates.
