Story

I'm raising money for the newly formed East Lancashire Stroke Assistance and Support charity, setup by a friend after his wife suffered a significant stroke very recently. This life-changing event for his wife has been extremely trying for the entire family and their friends and they quickly realised that a charity like this is essential to help and support people in similar situations.

I intend to raise a minimum of £1000 by completing 4 events before the end of the calendar year.

The first event is Ironman UK on 15th July 2018, held in Bolton and consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile marathon to finish. Thereafter I have three ultra runs; the first two are in the Lakes in September and October measuring 44 and 50 miles respectively (Grand Tour of Skiddaw on 1st Sept & Lakes in a Day on 13th Oct) whilst the third is on the 1st Dec in Northumberland (Montane Cheviot Goat).

Please help support this brilliant charity but donating as much as your budget allows. It's worth noting that over these 4 events I'll be making my way over 276.4 miles so it would be great to see people donating £27.64, an odd amount I know, but every one of those 10ps for every mile I cover will certainly spur me on.

Finally, all donations (bar covering Justgivings fees) will be going DIRECTLY to East Lancs SAS and will be faithfully applied to help people and their familties get through life in the best possible way after they suffer from a stroke.
