Story

A year ago our closest friends were put through a parents worst nightmare when their gorgeous little girl got diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Endless trips back and forth waiting for a diagnosis was unbearable but thankfully they received some good news that their little girl‘s tumour was benign. Unfortunately this is something that will remain ongoing for them as they continue to monitor her as she grows. A horrible cloud to have hanging over anyone’s head. Due to its rarity, only 50 children in the UK, its diagnosis can be a long and painful process, like in this case. It was only by going through a private consultant that the condition was recognised but in many cases this wouldn’t be an option. More research and awareness needs to be made and we hope that we can do our bit to raise money so it can help prevent other families going through such a horrible long ordeal.

Rob and I will therefore be taking part in the Moonlight Colourthon which is a half marathon (13.1 miles) walk/jog in and around Southend on 7th July, to try and raise as much as we can to help this cause.
