Story
Robin Armstrong, Tamsin's dad was involved in a car accident on 23 April, and remains in critical condition having suffered life changing injuries
He is well known locally as a wildlife artist and naturalist living on Dartmoor and a well known and colourful character in and around the Moor and its towns and villages
He has a passion and love for painting which has been successfully supplementing his income. Sadly this is something he will unlikely be able to continue doing, meaning a loss of that income and his ability to continue his pure passion for painting
He has many months of recovery and rehab ahead of him if he pulls through
The financial burden of keeping his home and household bills going and the travel to and from his bedside is massive
His home is not equipped for the person he will be if and when he leaves hospital and will need an overhaul to ensure he has some quality of life and to ensure he can remain living in his own home for as long as possible with community nursing and family support.
Robin remains in critical condition with many complications. He is still unresponsive, is in an induced coma and being medically supported to fight through other complications and setbacks that being sedated have caused. This means his rehabilitation and recovery will take at least 6-12 months where he cannot paint or undertake the exhibitions he had planned for this year to supplement his income and also will require intense physio and long-term home care support once he is able to leave hospital. This accident will have a life changing impact on his future independence. In the meantime Tams is travelling back and forth to Derriford meaning time off work for her and further detriment both financially and personally.
Please if anyone can help with a donation, big or small it would be truly appreciated.
Anyone that knows Tams knows she would do anything to help anyone and by doing this I'm hoping we can raise some money to help her and her Dad so she can just concentrate on him and his recovery.
