Story

We are a team of 20 + family & friends running the Kielder 10k in October 2019 to raise money for the transplant team at the Freeman Hospital Newcastle, who has helped change many lives including Sheena Robinson, a mum, our sister, our aunt, our friend. Sheena had a Double lung transplant in August 2018, which was needed because she has suffered from Pulmonary Hypertension since 2002.

Sheena was born in Kielder and now lives in Greenhaugh so Kielder is a special place for her too.

We are know how her and her family have suffered following her diagnosis, and now to be given the chance to lead a more normal life is fantastic and we are all truly grateful to the transplant team.
