Story
In May I will be running a 47-mile Ultra Marathon around Lake Windermere (aka The Lap) to raise money for the Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre in Harrogate, in honour of my friend Paul Moses, who we tragically lost to cancer last year.
As well as being a wonderful person, Paul was an inspirational athlete who excelled in Ironman and triathlon events, so taking on such a challenge feels in keeping with his legacy. He was also a fellow Leeds fan, a season ticket holder for over 30 unbroken years, and leaves behind his young son Jack, 12 years old but already enjoying/enduring his 7th year as a season ticket holder.
The Sir Robert Ogden Centre were of immense support to Paul and his family, and also took great care of my mum during her cancer treatment last year. Hence, I will be delighted to raise as much money for them as possible.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As the Robert Ogden Centre isn’t registered on JustGiving, donations will be paid to me directly and I will transfer 100% of the funds raised to the centre once fundraising is complete. I’ll share confirmation of the final donation so everyone can see the impact of your support. Thank you.
