The Johnston family from all over the world, together with friends, are coming together to do a global fitness challenge in order to raise funds for several charities in memory of the late Hugh Johnston (Portstewart, Ireland).

On August 15th 2021 the main event will kick off in Portstewart where the team, led by Clare and Jamie Johnston, will cover 70.3 miles (1.2m Swim, 56m Bike & 13.1m Run). Extended family & friends will be taking part in each of the legs, including relay teams.

In America, Sean & Brendan Johnston, along with Sheila, will lead a team through the challenge and down under in Australia, Gerard Johnston will lead a 90 mile cycle in Brisbane with Tommy-Joe Johnston leading a 14km run in Bondi, Sydney.

All proceeds will be shared with 4 charities nominated by the Johnston family: Marie Curie, Macmillan, NI Chest Heart & Stroke, BOOM Foundation. These charities were very close to Hugh's heart and like many others, are there for many families in time of need. Hugh would be super proud of the entire Rock The Boat team and what they will achieve with this fundraising challenge.
