Story

Roger is walking the Cotswold Way over 6 days during August starting in Bath and finishing in Chipping Campden. This is to raise funds for a charity very close to his heart called 'The Thomas Memorial Fund'. It was set up in memory of his wonderful Golden Retriever Thomas who sadly passed away in 2015. The fund is managed by Shipston Veterinary Centre and is used to help animals in cases of severe financial hardship of animal welfare. The fund has already come to the assistance of numerous animals and their owners and Roger has promised to arrange at least one event each year to raise much needed funds. Normally the events he organises involve eating and drinking but walking the Cotswold Way takes in other skills, none of which Roger has really used for many years! Thomas spent many happy days walking the last part of the Cotswold Way (Dover's Hill) so it is appropriate that Roger takes on the whole route finishing in Chipping Campden.
