I've raised £200 to raise funds to support Cockermouth Mountain Rescue... who saved my dad and brother this summer.

Can you please help me to raise some money for the emergency services who saved my dad and brother.
This summer my family went on a walk in the Lake District, some of us went down after the first stretch, but my brother and dad were resilient and continued to the top. On their way down my dad was holding a tree, it snapped and he had a tumbling fall of 5-10 metres. He split his head open and injured both legs.
Back in the valley night-time fell and a man came down called Michael Danks, he told everyone what had happened and raised the alarm. He is the first hero.
Not long after 4 vehicles, and a team of more heroes arrived. They were the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue team - they climbed up the mountain in the dark, treated my dad's injuries and winched him down the mountain on a stretcher with his leg in a splint. Luckily they could find my dad easily, because my brother was shouting very loudly and shining a torch all the time.
There were 22 of them, my dad says they are heroes and he cannot thank them enough.

It turns out the injuries were a bit more than just a hurt leg... My dad's leg is now out of plaster and the crutches have been put to one side...
My dad told me that these men rescue people off mountains day and night - even in bad wind, rain and snow. They are amazing. And, they do it all voluntarily... that means to get no payment - at all. How amazing is that?
So, I have made up a plan to get my dad fit again, and to raise some money....
We are going to walk 30 miles, but this time in Cambridgeshire... flat ground.... It will take us ages to do it, but if we get some money - we have to.
So please think about this charity, they rely totally on donations... and it really could happen to anyone who is out for a walk. Know that these teams have got your back.
