Story

Zoora is a Rohingya orphan. I met her when I was filming at the Kutupalong Refugee camp in Bangladesh. She witnessed her mother, father, brothers and sisters being slaughtered by Myanmar army soldiers in the Tula Toli massacre. Hundreds of Rohingya villagers were killed in this attack. She's only 12 years old and is now alone in caring for her 10 year old brother. At present she is being looked after by distant relatives. Zoora is not safe and faces an uncertain future. She is at risk of trafficking. I am raising money for her to go to school, for books , clothes and other essentials so her immediate future will not be so desperate. The money raised will be administered by a local charity that specialises in micro finance. I also have two close friends in Bangladesh (one who lives in the camp) who have promised to help to ensure the money goes to her directly and is not stolen or misused. Please donate what you can. It will make a difference to Zoora's life.
