This is my sister Edel, she is 26 years old and this year she is competing in the Special Olympic Games, all Ireland event. Edel will be taking part in the swimming heats, she loves swimming and has worked very hard with her coaches, volunteers and friends in Omagh Spires Special Olymics club to become a member of the Ulster team and reach the all Ireland games, taking place in Dublin in June 2018.

This is not th first time Edel has competed at this level in 2014 she won silver medal in her division in her other favourite sport Golf!! this was an amazing acheivment for Edel, her family and all her coaches and supporters.

It is hard to say how much taking part in the Sepcial Olympics has meant to Edel, she glows with the enjoyment and confidence she gains from participating in practice and competion. Not to mention the great friends she has made being part of such a brilliant team.

I have set this page up to help Edel raise her fundraising target of £400 for the Special Olympic Games, Ireland in in June 2018, all the money will go to Special Olympics to help Edel and other amazing and inspiritational athletes like her.
