With the help of many others, Carey is starting an animal welfare charity. It's called the Roly Poly Foundation in memory of Mirra, our amazing cocker spaniel who died in May of 2015.

To get the charity off the ground, we're raising a bit of money by taking part in the Santa Run in London's victoria park on Sunday, 4 December.

Roly Poly Foundation is not an animal rescue group or rehoming centre - there are so many charities who already do that part so well.

Instead Roly Poly Foundation focuses on what can be done before an animal ends up in a shelter, mainly through spay/neuter campaigns (focusing on street dogs in Romania), spay/neuter vouchers for those in the UK who can't afford them, and raising awareness of animal welfare and overpopulation issues both in the UK and abroad.

In addition, the Foundation aims to increase awareness of small steps that people can take lead more humane lives.
