Story

Throughout this Winter we have been saddened by the amount of people sleeping rough on the streets of Hastings & St Leonard's. Romy Edwards (aged 9) feels very strongly about wanting to help homeless people in her area and is constantly thinking of ideas of how to raise money to help them. This is all her own idea; a 12 hour long skate-a-thon at The Source Park.

Her and her friends use the Source Park all the time and have built a lovely community of friends who are joining together to raise money. The Source Park have very kindly supported the event, an Stella Dore Gallery in St Leonard's is a sponsor.

Snowflake Night Shelter in Hastings is our chosen charity:

"We provide supervised overnight accommodation to homeless people (our Guests) who would otherwise be sleeping rough in Hastings and St Leonards during the extreme winter months (end-November to mid-March) "

Please donate to our fund, or sponsor individuals you know are entering the rather challenging 12-hour skate-a-thon!

If you would like to participate in the skate-a-thon, please contact helenking@hotmail.com
