It is with great sadness and regret that I announce the death of Roni Shachnaey who passed peacefully at 0045 on Monday 25th September. He had been ill for many years but like a true soldier he fought it and bounced back with great verve and optimism.

Roni gave everything he had to the Magic community and his generosity and enthusiasm knew no bounds. To help assist with funeral costs and to show our appreciation for a lifetime of dedication to the art I have opened this just giving page so that we can give Roni the magical send off he deserves.

If I can ask at this time you give his wife Laraine and daughter Amanda some space and time to rest as they have been by his bedside for over 2 weeks. I can pass on your messages and condolencies is you want to contact me direct.

The goal for his memorial fund is merely a ballpark figure, I had to put in a default amount but whatever you can donate, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated
