Story

Ronnie Boid (75) died peacefully at home on Sun 4 Oct after a short but determined battle with cancer. He was a fabulous grandpa, husband, dad and friend and he will be sadly missed by so many in Cumnock, through rugby, golf, teaching and more.

So many of us want the opportunity to remember and share what a magic person he was. Alas current circumstances prevent a packed out crematorium and rugby club for him though.....

We hope this crowdfunder and JustGiving page can allow his friends and family a space to pay tribute to him, share some memories, as well as help him and us say a truly hearfelt thank you to the remarkable nurses who cared for him at home in his final months.

During his illness Ronnie received support from the Cumnock District Nursing Team. They were daily angels who walked with him through his illness, supporting, respecting and enabling his decisions and helping him to find peaceful rest at home. All monies raised will be donated to the Cumnock District Nursing team to help them help others at home by purchase and maintenance of medical equipment and any other needs of other Cumnock residents.

Please share your memories and donate if you would like to.

Thank you
