Roo's On-Line Busking

I can't imagine how frightening it must be to be really poorly when you're little."

My friend's family founded The Teapot Trust after her sister passed away. She spent lots of time in hospital having tests and treatment. It was scary and confusing. Then a friend of mine lost their battle with cancer after years of treatment, tests and long periods of isolation from family, friends and school. I can't imagine how frightening it must be to be really poorly when you're little.

Right now thousands of young kids are trying to be brave and cope with really serious illness, but they can find it hard to put their feelings into words and understand what is happening to them.

Teapot Trust fund art therapists to work with really sick kids and kids with mental health issues. They use art to break down barriers and help kids express themselves. It makes kids feel like they have a voice. It gives them something to look forward to. It puts a smile on their faces. It helps them cope with things most grown ups would struggle to cope with and provides support to their worried parents and siblings too.

I don't know if I could be that brave. I want to make sure sick kids get all the support they deserve. So I'm raising money for Teapot Trust Isle of Man .

Each year so far I have doubled the amount I have raised by busking with my penny whistle. So this year I aim to raise over £1,000. Of course you can't go out busking in a lock down. So for your entertainment I'm busking on-line instead via my youtube channel, Roo's Tube click the link here Roo's Tube On-Line Busking Channel . If you are entertained please donate via this Just Giving page and we can help sick kids keep on being brave.

Me presenting my donation from last year's busking to charity founder Dr. Laura Young at the launch of Teapot Trust Isle of Man in Oct'19.
