Story

Players from Roos Football Club have set themselves a virtual challenge ahead of the new football season. Entitled 'The countdown to grassroots football' the aim is for the players to walk, cycle or run the distance from club sponsors The Black Horse in Roos, to Penzance and back, a total distance of 1359km. All money raised will go towards the maintenance and upkeep of the club's machinery equipment and an upgrade on the dugouts.

**Challenge Extension - 17.06.2020**

Everyone at the club is gutted that Euro 2020 won't be taking place this and next month, and with us 'knowing' that England would have made it through to the quarter-finals after winning Group D and their last 16 fixture...

We will be extending our challenge to arrive in Rome for 21:00 on Saturday 4th July to watch Southgate's men in their 'what would have been' quarter-final tie!

2129 kilometres to run, cycle or walk in 18 days...🚶‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

The East Riding County League and their cup competitions generally start in the 2nd weekend of September leaving us with roundabout 100 days to countdown.

Any donation is welcome, thank you for your support!
