Story

Supporting mums to parent a teenage child who displays abusive behaviors towards them.

I would like to raise funds to engage in a training programme that would qualify me to volunteer to work with mums in my area to help them when dealing with an abusive child in their family. With this training I could offer support both in person and by phone to help prevent a crisis developing when a situation is escalating.

I would also like to create a support group where mothers can come together to access resources and strategies to enable them to cope with this problem and feel that they are not going through this alone.

Please help me to help other mums to give them the support that I so desperatley needed but didn’t get when I faced this problem myself. I had to travel 2 hours away to find this kind of help, lets give them this assistance on their doorstep.

We are women who have lived through the sheer hell of abuse, not from an abusive partner who we can run from, but from a dearly loved child with whom we are desperate to restore our relationship.
