I am an Independent Usborne Organiser, promoting and selling the amazing books published by Usborne, I truly believe in Usborne’s beautiful, fun, educational and entertaining award-winning children’s books. Apart from being able to inspire others through literature I am also able to run something called a Community Book Pledge fundraising to be able to provide a setting with new books, puzzles and activity books. I have been given permission to fundraise for Julia’s House. Julia’s House is a Children's Hospice in Dorset and Wiltshire. When a family finds out that their child has a very serious medical condition, which is life-limiting or life-threatening, their world falls apart. Julia’s House exists to help these children and their families. They provide care for children with life-limiting and life-shortening conditions wherever and whenever it is needed – in our hospices, at home and out in the community.

I am hoping to raise enough money to enable the Play Team at Julia’s House to purchase the books they need to support and entertain the children in their care, as well as support the siblings of these children. In normal pre Covid times it is easier to gain resources in healthcare settings and reuse toys and books however at the moment a lot of resources can only be used once and then thrown away or by only one child or family due to the infection risk and hygiene procedures. I would like to enable the Play Team and Sibling Team to be able to gift their patients books, puzzles or activity books without losing resources that they too need.
