Story

Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a genetic blood disorder affecting red blood cells, with high morbidity and mortality rates. The United Nations has recognized SCD as a global public health concern. It is frequent in African, African-American, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, and Asian communities. In my country of Cameroon, because of the lack of adequate care, many children born with sickle cell disease die before the age of 5.

At the present time, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is the only cure for SCD. There are effective treatments that can reduce symptoms and prolong life. Early diagnosis and regular medical care to prevent complications also contribute to improved well-being. More than 80% of patients with Sickle Cell disease don't have money to pay for their medication and will suffer all the time with infection, pain, ...

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those people. The money collected will go the Sickle cell national Association in Cameroon. This association helps patients with preventive drugs, Blood transfert, medicine at the hospital,...They also provide financial helps, counseling...

Help save the lives of those innocent children.
