I've raised £200 to Help Daniel Fly

As many of you are aware, my son Rob died in Kenya last March. At the time of his death, the 'Help Daniel Fly' campaign was being launched. Daniel is a young Kenyan who meant a great deal to Rob, and Rob in turn was a mentor and father figure to Daniel.
Daniel has an almost impossible dream - he is the son of a poacher and he wants to become the first Kenyan gyrocopter pilot, protecting elephants in Tsavo as an airborne conservationist. This would be an amazing legacy for Rob.
The gyrocopter is a great tool for conservation. It is fast and fuel efficient, and can take off and land on short airstrips. It helps the team at Wildlife Works (which Rob managed) to become the eyes in the sky for wildlife protection, helping direct ground crew in 4WD vehicles.
For an African boy from the dusty plains of Tsavo, I think this is an inspiring story. Here's your chance to help him on the final leg of this incredible journey.
Thanks to fund-raising by friends and family, Daniel is already in the UK and partly through his flight training in York. The fund-raising is being led by my friend Alice Owen - see her link here for all the details, pictures and a video: https://uwe.hubbub.net/p/HelpDanielfly/ But we are still short of the fund-raising target.
I am once again running the Great North Run on 10th September and seeking sponsorship to Help Daniel Fly.
This cause is close to my heart and I would be very grateful for any support.
Thank you xx
Daniel
