Story

Our daughter Rosalind "Rosie" Boxall is two and a half. In many ways she is a typical two year old: she loves minions, stickers, music and has an infectious laugh. Earlier this year, however, she was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and serious form of cancer. She has been battling away ever since with the help of the lovely folks at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. The once huge tumour in her abdomen is now shrinking with the aid of gruelling chemotherapy and she will hopefully have surgery in January. But my little warrior's ordeal will be far from over. We have to travel to Jacksonville, Florida and live there for two months for Rosie to receive proton beam therapy, a pioneering treatment that will target the cancer whilst causing the least damage to Rosie's organs and bone development. The treatment itself will be funded by the NHS but we need to raise money to cover our living costs as neither Annette or I will be working or earning any money during this time. We would be incredibly grateful if you can give a little to fund our Rosie's cancer fight. Any money that is donated above and beyond our living costs will be donated to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
