I've raised £500 to help Ickford School

My name is Rosie Holliday and I am a parent at Ickford school, where my daughter Beatrix is in year 3. Having had a very negative experience at a previous school, we moved Beatrix to Ickford half way through year 1 and were immediately welcomed into the school community and had our minds put at rest by Headteacher Mr Ronane and all of the staff that it was the right move. Thanks to the continued support and dedication of all of the staff, Beatrix loves school and skips into breakfast club every morning.
The children at Ickford are incredibly lucky to have creative teachers who make learning interesting and fun and getting a well-rounded education is very much the focus. All children have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument and have access to a huge number of extra-curricular clubs, from badminton to coding club, through which they have the opportunity to develop new skills and find new hobbies. Like with anything however, resources and peoples' time is not free and so the school is heavily reliant on fundraising and contributions in order to fund clubs, trips and educational equipment and resources.
I wanted to do something to show my appreciation and support for the school, so I am planning on taking on 2 100km Ultra walking challenges in May and June, one walking London to Brighton Ultra challenge L2B and one walking part of the Cotswold Way Ultra challenge Cotswolds. Having done one of these challenges before, I am well aware of how difficult this challenge will be, especially doing 2 within a month, but I am determined to complete both, blisters and all!
I'm calling on all friends and family and any past, present and future Ickford parents, to help me raise money for the school. Any donations of any amount will be hugely appreciated.
Thanks so much, Rosie x
